Ordering a Crane
In accordance with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 1994, when ordering a lifting machine the following information & criteria must be disclosed.
- Type of machine: eg. Truck mount, rough terrain, All Terrain, City type.
- Maximum jib length required (excluding fly & or Stinger)
- Maximum working radii
- Mass of goods to be lifted at any one time
- Maximum height weight & radii for goods to be raised on worst case scenario
Additional information
- Largest size & type of machine acceptable on site (ref. CPA conditions)
- Confirmation statement of subterranean survey & ground suitability for route & setup site of machine. (Ref BS 7121 pt 1)
Note: - The machines are supplied with a small complementary tackle box. It is the responsibility of the hirer to supply all lifting gear beyond the crane required to suspend the goods below the crane hook. Any lifting gear supplied by the hirer will be inspected by our competent person (crane driver) as to its condition & suitability for the job. Any query to its suitability will be referred to the Lifting operations supervisor.
